Government Holdings (Private) Limited (GHPL) is proud to share another exploration milestone from the TAL Block, where the Joint Venture has successfully appraised the existing gas and condensate discovery in the Lumshiwal Formation at the Bilitang-1 ST-1 Exploratory Well, located in District Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The well, which was sidetracked to target improved reservoir quality, delivered an encouraging flow of approximately 26.5 MMscfd of gas at a wellhead flowing pressure of 4,214 psi, demonstrating the strong productivity of the Lumshiwal reservoir.

This achievement significantly enhances the prospectivity of the TAL Block by de-risking the Lumshiwal play and opening new exploration opportunities across the acreage. It also reinforces the value generated through the TAL Joint Venture partnership and contributes to Pakistan’s energy security by strengthening the country’s indigenous hydrocarbon resource base.
