Nashpa Field Development – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Located in District Karak, the Nashpa Field is operated by OGDCL in joint venture with GHPL and PPL. Commissioned in February 2018, its integrated oil and gas processing facility, including LPG extraction, has a capacity of 98 MMscfd gas, 18,000 barrels/day of crude/condensate, and 350 metric tons/day of LPG.

Gambat South Field Development – Sindh

Situated in District Sanghar, Gambat South Block has recorded 11 gas discoveries, including Wafiq, Shahdad, Kinza, Faiz, Kabir, Hatim, Hadi, Zafir, Badeel, Hadaf, and Shahpur Chakar North. Three Gas Processing Facilities (GPF I, II & IV) are operational, supplying gas to the national grid, supplemented by spare capacity of the Hala Processing Facility (Owned by Hala JV) being used for around 6-10MMscfd gas.

TAL Block Field Development – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa & FATA

Spanning districts Kohat, Karak, Hangu, and parts of North Waziristan, the TAL Block processes oil and gas through the Manzalai CPF, Makori GPF, and Tolanj Processing Facility. Front-end and secondary compression facilities are also operational to maximize hydrocarbon recovery from the fields.

Dhok Sultan Field Development – Punjab

The Dhok Sultan oil handling facility processes production from the Dhok Sultan X-1 well. After oil separation, associated gas is routed to Meyal Processing Facilities (owned by Pakistan Oilfields Limited) for sales gas specification and LPG recovery.

Shah Bandar Field Development – Sindh

The Shah Bandar Block has yielded three discoveries: Benari, Jhim East, and Pateji. To optimize costs, the JV utilizes spare capacity at the Sujawal Processing Facility.

GHPL continues to execute a disciplined capital investment program focused on production sustainability, asset optimization, and long-term value creation. Our project portfolio is strategically designed to enhance throughput, improve recovery efficiency, and extend field life across non-operated JV assets.

FY 2023–24 | Capacity Enhancement & Production Optimization

  • Processing Infrastructure
  • Dhok Sultan Oil Handling Facility
  • Field Compression Initiatives
  • GPF-IV Compression
  • Naimat West-4
  • Sofiya
  • High CO₂ Compression (Naimat West)
  • During FY 2023–24, GHPL prioritized compression expansion and oil handling upgrades to address declining reservoir pressures and increasing CO₂ challenges. These investments improved gas deliverability, optimized processing efficiency, and supported stable production levels across key fields.

FY 2024–25 | Field Development & Secondary Recovery

  • Processing Facilities
  • Jhal Magsi Field Development Project
  • Field Compression Projects
  • Makori East Secondary Compression
  • Khewari Bitrism Compression
  • The FY 2024–25 portfolio is centered on unlocking incremental reserves and enhancing recovery from mature reservoirs through secondary compression and infrastructure strengthening. These initiatives are expected to improve recovery factors, maintain plateau production, and enhance asset economics.

FY 2025–26 (Planned) | Strategic Augmentation & Future Readiness

  • Processing Facility Expansion
  • Kot Palak EWT Facility
  • Tolanj Processing Facility Augmentation Project
  • Field Compression Project
  • Nashpa Low-Pressure Compression
  • Planned investments for FY 2025–26 aim to augment processing capacity and strengthen low-pressure handling systems. These projects are aligned with GHPL’s strategy to optimize field performance, manage pressure depletion, and sustain long-term production resilience.
